French practice tasks
French Conversation Role-Play
Learning area: Listening and Speaking. A short French conversation should give each speaker a purpose and a chance to respond. Register depends on the relationship between the speakers.
French Reading Detail Exercise
Learning area: Reading. Reading for detail means finding information that is explicitly present before adding interpretation. Short texts make it easier to check each answer against a phrase.
French Verb Agreement Practice
Learning area: Grammar in Use. French verbs change with their subject and tense. Practise a regular pattern while remembering that frequent verbs such as être and avoir have irregular forms.
French Personal Paragraph Task
Learning area: Writing. A short personal paragraph can combine an introduction, location and interest. Accuracy and connected meaning are more useful than copying a long passage without understanding it.
How to use the French guide
- Choose a task from a topic already covered in class.
- Write your own response before opening the answer guidance.
- Compare the method and reasoning, not only the final answer.
- Complete the follow-up challenge and record one point to revisit.
Plan your next revision session
Keep a short record with the activity name, date, what you could do independently and what still needs explanation. Return to an earlier task after a gap to check whether you can apply the idea without looking at the model response. Work with a teacher or study partner when your interpretation differs from the suggested answer.
