Grade 11 Arabic Simple Sentence Writing Task

Revision activities / Arabic study practice

Learning focus: Writing. This original Grade 11 Arabic exercise gives you a task, a suggested response and a follow-up challenge. It is classroom practice, not an official assessment paper.

Understand the idea

Short writing practice should prioritise clear meaning, correct script and accurate sentence patterns before length. Check a model and then create a new sentence.

Try the activity

Write two linked sentences about a book using هذا كتاب and جديد.

Attempt your response before opening the guidance. Show the steps, textual evidence or reasons that support your answer; a final answer alone may hide a misunderstanding.

Self-assessment checklist

This is your own assessment, not automatic marking.

Self-assessed checklist: 0/4

Show suggested answer and reasoning

A suitable model is: هذا كتاب. الكتاب جديد. The first introduces the book and the second describes it as new.

Follow-up challenge

Write a parallel pair about another classroom object with teacher-checked vocabulary. Review letter shapes, spacing and whether the description agrees with the noun.

Review your work

  • Did you answer the question actually asked?
  • Can you explain the method or evidence in your own words?
  • What would you change if one condition in the task changed?

Use the suggested response to identify one correction, then attempt the task again without copying it. For an open-ended question, other well-supported answers may be reasonable. Ask your teacher to check interpretations or language forms where needed.
