Revision activities / ICT study practice
Learning focus: Internet and Web Technologies. This original Grade 11 ICT exercise gives you a task, a suggested response and a follow-up challenge. It is classroom practice, not an official assessment paper.
Understand the idea
HTML organises webpage content into meaningful elements. A clear page structure improves navigation and helps users understand which information belongs together.
Try the activity
Plan a school-club webpage with a heading, introduction, activities and contact route. Which elements would you choose?
Attempt your response before opening the guidance. Show the steps, textual evidence or reasons that support your answer; a final answer alone may hide a misunderstanding.

Your work and progress stay in this browser. Use Clear this activity to remove saved work.
Show suggested answer and reasoning
Use an appropriate main heading, paragraphs for the introduction, subheadings for sections, a list for activities and a descriptive link for the contact route. Use meaningful link text and alternative text for informative images.
Follow-up challenge
Sketch the page for a narrow phone screen. Explain why a page that looks attractive can still be difficult to use if headings and links are unclear.
Review your work
- Did you answer the question actually asked?
- Can you explain the method or evidence in your own words?
- What would you change if one condition in the task changed?
Use the suggested response to identify one correction, then attempt the task again without copying it. For an open-ended question, other well-supported answers may be reasonable. Ask your teacher to check interpretations or language forms where needed.
