Revision activities / Business Studies study practice
Learning focus: Business and Management. This original Grade 11 Business Studies exercise gives you a task, a suggested response and a follow-up challenge. It is classroom practice, not an official assessment paper.
Understand the idea
Management involves setting objectives, organising resources, coordinating people and reviewing results. Delegation should specify responsibility and reporting without removing accountability.
Try the activity
A club business repeatedly misses delivery dates. Propose a management plan to improve reliability.
Attempt your response before opening the guidance. Show the steps, textual evidence or reasons that support your answer; a final answer alone may hide a misunderstanding.

Show suggested answer and reasoning
Set a realistic delivery target, divide purchasing, production and delivery roles, agree deadlines and keep an order record. Review delays each week and adjust the plan based on their causes.
Follow-up challenge
Write a responsibility table with a task, owner, deadline and evidence of completion. Explain how the plan deals with absence or supply delays.
Review your work
- Did you answer the question actually asked?
- Can you explain the method or evidence in your own words?
- What would you change if one condition in the task changed?
Use the suggested response to identify one correction, then attempt the task again without copying it. For an open-ended question, other well-supported answers may be reasonable. Ask your teacher to check interpretations or language forms where needed.
