Grade 11 Ibadat and Muamalat Classification Task

Revision activities / IRE study practice

Learning focus: Fiqh Al-Ibadat Wal-Muamalat. This original Grade 11 IRE exercise gives you a task, a suggested response and a follow-up challenge. It is classroom practice, not an official assessment paper.

Understand the idea

Fiqh study distinguishes areas of worship and human dealings while recognising that ethical duties can connect both. Use the categories and examples taught in class.

Try the activity

Classify salah and a buying-and-selling agreement under ibadat or muamalat, then explain the basis.

Attempt your response before opening the guidance. Show the steps, textual evidence or reasons that support your answer; a final answer alone may hide a misunderstanding.

Show suggested answer and reasoning

Salah is an act of worship and belongs under ibadat. A buying-and-selling agreement concerns dealings between people and belongs under muamalat. Each area has relevant requirements that need to be studied from appropriate sources.

Follow-up challenge

Add further teacher-checked examples and explain one ethical principle relevant to business dealings. Avoid presenting this classroom exercise as a ruling on a real dispute.

Review your work

  • Did you answer the question actually asked?
  • Can you explain the method or evidence in your own words?
  • What would you change if one condition in the task changed?

Use the suggested response to identify one correction, then attempt the task again without copying it. For an open-ended question, other well-supported answers may be reasonable. Ask your teacher to check interpretations or language forms where needed.
