Grade 11 Akhlaq Honesty Case Study

Revision activities / IRE study practice

Learning focus: Akhlaq Moral Teachings. This original Grade 11 IRE exercise gives you a task, a suggested response and a follow-up challenge. It is classroom practice, not an official assessment paper.

Understand the idea

Akhlaq concerns moral character and conduct. A reasoned response links a virtue to a concrete action and explains its effect on other people.

Try the activity

A trader notices that a customer has overpaid. Explain an honest response and why it matters.

Attempt your response before opening the guidance. Show the steps, textual evidence or reasons that support your answer; a final answer alone may hide a misunderstanding.

Self-assessed checklist: 0/4

Show suggested answer and reasoning

The trader should inform the customer and return the excess payment. The response demonstrates honesty and trustworthiness and protects the customer from a loss. Support the explanation with a relevant class-approved teaching.

Follow-up challenge

Write a short dialogue showing respectful communication. Distinguish correcting the transaction from merely making a general statement about honesty.

Review your work

  • Did you answer the question actually asked?
  • Can you explain the method or evidence in your own words?
  • What would you change if one condition in the task changed?

Use the suggested response to identify one correction, then attempt the task again without copying it. For an open-ended question, other well-supported answers may be reasonable. Ask your teacher to check interpretations or language forms where needed.
